Maple Ladders Finished in Black

This week in the workshop…

A throw-back to one of our projects from last autumn. This is a pair of rolling ladders in maple, finished with Tricorn Black paint by Sherwin Williams. We think they came out spectacularly! One will be used in a library and the other will be put up in a mud room. All that’s left to do is put on the hardware and send them off to the client.

We love creating custom finishes for our clients to give them a ladder that truly fits into their space. We use the highest quality stains and paints to make sure that the ladders can stand up to the wear and tear of everyday use (they need to be both beautiful and functional, after all). We can also customize the hardware, which makes a huge difference to the overall look of the ladder. For example, brass hardware on this ladder might look a little old-fashioned, but chrome or brushed steel might give it a much more modern feel. This client opted for a monochromatic look with black hardware to match the paint.
